When I was a kid, my parents let me have all kinds of animals. Cats, dogs, mice and even turtles. Those baby kind that all kids can take care of. I remember the small plastic dish that I kept my turtles in. There was a place for water and there was even a plastic palm tree. My turtle would spend most of his time "lounging" under that palm tree. Anyway, in writing this page, I decided to do a little research on the subject and share with you some basic information on the subject of turtles. So here goes:

even though turtles spend lots of time underwater, they all breathe air, and must surface at regular intervals to refill their lungs?

turtles date back from prehistoric times?

turtles lay their eggs in the sand and then leave them to hatch on their own?
