Strawberry Shortcake has had a makeover! You might not even recognize her, but over at Berry Bitty City, she's got a whole new look!

The original design of Strawberry Shortcake and her cat, Custard was done in 1977 by Muriel Fahrion during her time as a greeting card illustrator at American Greetings' Juvenile & Humorous card department. (Wikipedia) That's the Strawberry Shortcake of my childhood.

But look out for 2009. She's the star of television, movies and video games. She's got a new look and so do her friends! So log on to Strawberry Shortcake.com for all the information and fun you could ever hope to have on this little lady.

Remember the original Strawberry Shortcake series from the '80's? Well, she's back...and celebrating her 3oth anniversary! My how time flies!

I think that the hardest decision concerning this purchase would be, "Is it better to give than to receive?" All I know is that I would really, really, REALLY like to get this as a gift!

It's all authentic...down to the yummy scents that each doll carries! (Breathe in, breathe out...ahhhhhhh!) Such memories.
